Q & AWhat does it mean when we say we are reading Cycle “A” this year?
Since Vatican II, the Church is on a three year reading cycle for the Sunday readings. Year or Cycle “A”, “B”, or “C”.
In year “A” we focus mainly on the gospel of Matthew.
In year “B” we focus mainly on the gospel of Mark.
In year “C” we focus mainly on the gospel of Luke.
